About Linda…
Spirituality has anchored my artistic practice for a lifetime. Grounded by a BFA and decades of exploration across figurative work and landscape, my current work investigates the profound intersections between sacred geometry, universal philosophy, and human perception.
At the heart of my recent work is a deep exploration of sacred numbers, most notably 144—traditionally revered as a symbol of spiritual completion, higher consciousness, and ultimate enlightenment. I express these numerical frameworks through structured series of precise circles and dots, creating visual meditations on order and infinity. Expanding upon this conceptual foundation, my newest series introduces delicate bubbles floating above these geometric matrices, often housing figurative elements within. Through these fragile spheres, I examine complex spiritual concepts: the devine states, the psychological weight of near and far enemies, the transience of life, and the persistent illusion of youth and beauty.
This inquiry into spiritual architecture builds upon my previous investigations, such as a painting dedicated to the 36 hidden righteous beings of Talmudic tradition—the unseen pillars whose righteousness sustains humanity from generation to generation—overlaid with the universal outline of a sitting Buddha to honor the underlying unity of all religious thought. Whether rendering figurative compositions infused with symbolic iconography or expansive landscapes of the mind, my work seeks to visualize the unseen threads connecting human frailty, sacred messages, and the eternal search for meaning.
Based in Crockett, California, I maintain my studio at Epperson Studios. I also serve as the director of Epperson Gallery. My work is held in private and commercial collections throughout the United States.
